The word ‘Powerbock’ didn’t even exist before these shoes were invented; this sport is so new and cool that a verb had to be created to describe it. ‘Bockers’ was chosen as a tribute to the inventor, Alexander Boeck.
Made of snowboard-style foot bindings, a foot pad and a big spring, these stilts allow the user to jump 3 feet into the air.
Similar to power stilts, powerrisers and kangaroo legs, projumper enthusiasts suggest they are like wearing mini-trampolines on the feet.
