Unusually Unkempt Editorials

The June/July 2014 Russh Magazine Erichsen Photoshoot is Messy

The June/July 2014 Russh Magazine editorial featuring Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen provides a rather unkempt look at the Spring/Summer 2014 season. Stylist Gillian Wilkins oversaw the beautifully messy production which features shaggy locks and oversize apparel.

Photographer Benny Horne proved alongside Wilkins that little is needed to showcase the elegance of Erichsen. With just a simple black and white backdrop and no props, Horne focused on Erichsen alone and the ensembles put together by Wilkins.

Retro motifs are certainly at play in each of Horne's images. Wilkins opted for thick star-studded tops and knits featuring small sparkles that made Erichsen appear fresh off the set of a 1970s film. Yet, given the unassuming nature of the production, they brought the motif to life in a casual manner.
