Nike Puts Their Nike+ Device to Work in this Jumping Contest

Two young men strap on their Nike shoes, equipped with Nike+ sensors and face off in a jumping contest.

The two men, identified only by their Twitter handles (@AirJanvier and @FeazellVince) choose their shoes and insert the new Nike+ sensors in the space designed for it under the sole of their left shoe. The Nike+ sensor is there to measure the height of their vertical jump. The results of their jumps are immediately displayed on screens in front of them.

A motivational score keeper shouts at them to get higher and beat the other one’s jump. The jumping contest starts with both jumpers reaching around 38 inches. However, before long the score keeper is on their backs demanding 40 inch jumps. In the end, they both reach 40 inches.
