Julie Richey Pieces Together Stunning Scultpural Artworks

Julie Richey, a Texan artist, has put together some amazingly stunning sculptures. Her specialty lies in creating magnificent mosaic artworks, some of which take on the form of three-dimensional dresses.

La Corrente, one of her newer pieces, displays the incredible detailing and creativity that Julie Richey pours into her art. Using a multitude of materials in each creation, Julie Richey is able to create extraordinary designs and images. La Corrente, for example, is made out of pieces of marble, smalti, seashells and 24k gold. The detailing on the skirt is meant to resemble sea kelp moving with the current of the waters.

Julie Richey's other works includes a sweet series of globes titled Four Seasons Floating Orbs. Every piece that Julie Richey makes is masterfully crafted and truly marvelous.
