Edmonton-based photographer Jonathan Sinclair combines his passion for the outdoors and photography through a series of pictures that captures the transcendental aesthetics of natural landscapes.
An environmental investigator by trade, Sinclair focuses on nature and landscape photography in order to "get people interested in protecting the natural world," according to the photographer's Zenfolio page. The animals featured in Sinclair's work are all found in Canada's wilderness in areas that will require increased protection from harmful human impact.
The pictures come as the result of patience, exploration and experimentation with light exposure. Many images include the sun either rising or setting, incorporating the radiant glow in order to articulate subtle features that are often overlooked.
