One of Canada's largest restaurant chains, JOEY Restaurants, recently launched a grocery program to help customers access essential items including staple foods and household products. The new items — such as restaurant quality produce, baked goods, pantry items, handsoap, and toilet paper — will now be available to order through the food delivery service DoorDash. Consumers will a 20% discount on food item pick-ups and a 10% discount on all delivery.
JOEY Restaurants also teamed up with the B.C. Girl Guides of Canada to help sell over 800,000 boxes of unsold cookies, as social distancing regulations forced the organization to put door-to-door selling on hold. All of the proceeds will be going directly to the organization.
