Jen Pearson Recycles Apothecary Jars Into Chic Match Holders

Designer Jen Pearson is one to follow. A graduate student studying sustainable product design, Pearson has developed products that perfectly capture form, function and sustainability.

Jen Pearson's apothecary jar matchbox is a perfect example. Introduced this week at the Fernseed store opening in Oakland, customers had a wealth of positive feedback. In fact, they were awed by the design, which is deserving, as it is quite ingenious. Taking an item that has been around forever and etching the bottom to create a strike-able surface is a brilliant creative invention of old to new!
