The Jamie Bamber PETA ad highlights the inhumane killing of black bears in order to make the headpieces for the Queen’s Guards at Buckingham Palace. Tragically, the whole skin of a black bear is needed to make one of these hats, which are merely a ceremonial accessory.
Jamie Bamber urges us to, "Bare skin, not bearskin." I am not sure I would want those Queen guards to bare their skin in the cold, but they could use faux fur to make the infamous hats.
