Rocker Jam Jars

The Labels for Jam Sessions Were Created by Printing with Real Preserves

Jam Sessions uses a funny play on words for the branding of its delicious fruit spreads. Jam is typically branded to feel nice, comforting and homespun, but this project by Landor Associates gives the preserves a rock 'n' roll twist.

The jams include three kicky flavors like Blueberry & Plum, Chili & Cherry and Ginger & Passionfruit, which are colorfully presented in blue-purple, red and yellow. To give Jam Sessions that extra edge, the labels for the jams were created by making a stamp with a printing block and jam. As a result, there logo is full of texture, rawness and it even looks sticky to the touch. Although the logo design looks like a randomly spread shape, it's actually made to look like the body of a guitar.
