The Jaguar XJR Will Support the Bloodhound SSC's Record-Breaking Attempt

The Jaguar XJR RRV or Rapid Response Vehicle is a specially designed performance sedan that is intended to support the Bloodhound SSC in its mission to break the world land speed record. The car will serve to highlight Jaguar Land Rover's role as a technical partner of the Bloodhound Project.

The vehicle has been modified for carrying specially made support equipment. The rear seats were ripped out and replaced with a roll cage, while purpose-built housing was also installed. A set of flashing safety lights behind the front grille were also deemed necessary.

The Jaguar XJR RRV has a 5-liter supercharged V8 engine that pumps out 542 horsepower, allowing it to arrive quickly if called upon to assist the Bloodhound.
