Alanis Morissette is working on her latest project: The Jagged Little Pill Musical. Yes, Morissette is breathing new life into her classic record with the help of Broadway pro Tom Kitt, whose impressive resume features the Tony award winning 'Next To Normal.'
The album was Morisette's most influential and celebrated record to date, winning four Grammy's for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album and Album of the Year. The record has sold more than 33 million records worldwide since its 1995 release -- hard to believe that was 18 years ago.
Along with her bona fide hits -- the most famous of which is probably the angsty break up anthem 'You Oughta Know' -- Morissette will be writing new material for the show. As for starring it in, she doesn't rule it out as an option, but is currently working on threading each of the heart-wrenching yet empowering tracks on the album into a coherent narrative. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
