China’s famous avant-garde designer Ivan Zhang has pushed the envelope once again with his latest cookware invention: the ‘whisk.’ Don’t let the name fool you, there is one crucial difference to this particular variety of kitchen whisk: it has a curved kink that’s the perfect shape for containing yolk when you crack an egg over top of it.
The ergonomic shape of the whisk’s handle allows the whisk to lay steadily over the bowl and an egg to be cracked over top. The whites will drip seamlessly through the whisk into the bowl, while yolk stays perfectly contained inside the curved indent of the whisk. This handy invention is the ideal hybrid of a great mixing whisk and an egg yolk separator all in one convenient tool.
