The Isabel Marant's Fall Collection Finds New Uses for Mohair

Isabel Marant's Fall Collection for 2014 featured tons of new experimental pieces.

In her latest iteration of the cargo pant, for instance, Marant does away with pockets, replacing the functional clothing apparatus with a decorative lace-up feature on the legs and an unusually high waist. Another take on the pant came in the form a cropped leather trouser that sits low on the hips, but offers plenty of room.

For those wishing for a more casual look, Marant offered sweatpants made out of mohair. Yes, mohair. In fact, the material showed up again and again throughout the collection, appearing in sweaters, cardigans and overcoats. The oversize, boyish silhouettes of the pieces worked especially well with the scratchy material.
