Instant Art Exposure is the result of Leanna Valente's over two-year effort to document the street art of New York and Miami.
Valente originally started Instant Art Exposure in May of 2013 as a break from her regular, more formal photography work. Despite the challenges of photographing art in an outdoor, unstaged environment, Valente managed to capture beautiful shots of the cities' stunning street art. For Instant Art Exposure, the photographer used a Polaroid camera, echoing the ephemeral, physical nature of graffiti in her chosen medium.
Through a Kickstarter campaign, Valente hopes to fund the creation of an art book of the Instant Art Exposure project. Her dedication to the preservation of a form of art that is by nature highly volatile and impermanent has produced an impressive body of work.
