History-Inspired Food Packaging

'Let Them Eat Cake' is Inspired by Marie Antoinette

Inspired by Marie Antoinette, the 'Let Them Eat Cake' chutney packaging takes motivation from history and the way this figure lived out her life. The branding is quite feminine, and has a certain elegance and charm to it.

According to the designer Natasha Radosavljevic, her "inspiration came from Marie Antoinette’s love of elegant French pastries, her glamorous hairstyles and those famous words: 'Let them eat cake.'" As such this is why she named the chutney after this phrase, as it speaks to how the entire brand is presented.

Natasha has two loves: making chutney and designing, so this project merges the two activities together perfectly. She is also very original with her recipes, ensuring that each flavor is distinct and memorable.
