Bulging Basketball Courts

The Inges Idee Basketballfeld Has Been Morphed by a 3-D Program

At first glance, the Inges Idee Basketballfeld may look like some kind of skate park rather than the basketball court that it actually is. That is because it boasts an undulating surface that is definitely not regulation, despite it being regulation-sized. In fact, playing the sport on this court will probably result in some minor accidents, if you ask me.

The Inges Idee Basketballfeld is actually an art installation. Built just outside of the Occupational School Center in Munich, Germany, the court has been manipulated and morphed by 3D computer program to look like some kind of mini roller-coaster. As the court is covered in soft orange-red tartan and flanked by two normal baskets, you might be tempted to play ball, but I think the people in the photos have the right idea: Just lay back and relax on the Inges Idee Basketballfeld's hilly surface.
