The Department of Urban Betterment (DUB) is trying to get its Inflato Dumpster from concept to reality. The Inflato Dumpster is a public space where ordinary citizens can gather for workshops regarding community intervention. DUB has proposed to create the space using only a dumpster and a dome made of gold and silver mylar, polyurethane and tyvek building wrap.
You may remember DUB as the organization that added bookshelves (and actual books) to New York City phone booths.
