Dougie Mann Pushes Inclusive Tech Forward with TypeCase

Designers are beginning to be more vigilant about the concept of inclusive tech. As user experience is their number one priority, many turn to create products that will enable differently-abled people to utilize and enjoy the convenience and efficiency of contemporary technology. One such product is TypeCase.

The 3D-printed device is conceived by product designer Dougie Mann. Essentially, it presents a keyboard that can be hooked up to a smartphone via a custom case. The inclusive tech accessory is intended to serve as an accessible pathway for "amputees and people with sight loss." It will assist them in the process of typing.

The TypeCase presents five physical buttons that correspond to the 26 letters in the alphabet. The different combinations of buttons correspond to each letter.
