Matthew M. Williams Unveils his Inaugural Capsule for Givenchy

Matthew M. Williams took over as the Creative Director at Givenchy earlier this year and he recently unveils his inaugural capsule for the fashion house. The latest features ready-to-wear designs for both men and women made for the Spring/Summer 2021 season.

According to Williams, he explains that "You find the pieces of the puzzle for a collection, building it from symbols and signs, but never forgetting the reality of the person who will wear it and bring it to life. The women and men should be powerful and effortless, equal and joyful, a reflection of who they really are – only more so. It’s about finding the humanity in luxury." There is a strong focus on hardware, which is an area of expertise for Williams, featuring the 'Lover's Lock' which is a unisex symbolic hardware that references commitment, decoration, utility and emotion that brings men and women of Givenchy together.
