Boutique Diesel Supercars

The Trident Iceni Magna is the World's Fastest Diesel Sports Car

British boutique car manufacturer Trident is launching the Iceni Magna, a two-seat diesel-powered supercar. This vehicle, whose design marries a retro feel with modern curves and accents, is capable of a top speed in excess of 190 mph and an incredible cruising range of 2,000 miles. This means it can essentially travel from Chicago to Los Angeles on a single tank of fuel.

The Iceni Magna is fitted with a 6.6-liter Duramax V8 General Motors engine, better known for powering General Motors' heavy-duty trucks. This engine is hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission to produce 395 horsepower and 700 pounds-feet of torque. This enables the car to speed from zero to 60 mph in an impressive 3.7 seconds. The engine doesn't only run on standard diesel but works with bio-diesel, linseed oil and palm oil too.

The Iceni Magna is also equipped with adjustable suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes for improved stopping power.

This boutique supercar's prices will start at around $162,000.
