Chauffeured Ride Apps

The iCars App Offers Rides Within San Francisco For $50

iCars is a new ride app, based in San Francisco, that is designed to offer an alternative to the likes of Uber and Lyft.

Available for download to iPhone users, iCars is going to debut at the Superbowl and will offer rides from San Francisco to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara for a flat rate of $248 for up to four passengers. These prices are intended to compete with the surge pricing that Uber and Lyft often impose. The app is different from other ride apps in that it offers luxury vehicles and professional chauffeurs who offer rides within San Francisco for $50, with tripes outside the city -- and measuring less than 60 miles -- costing $188.

While Uber's disruption of the taxi business has been historic, the fact of the matter is that Uber is liable to be challenged and competed with itself, and iCars aims to compete with Uber and offer its unique take on ride services in order to give customers more options than ever before.
