Prophets' Innovative Experience Lets People Interact with Art

Prophets put Apple’s new iBeacon technology to work to show just what it is capable of doing. The Prophets prototype was set up for the Rubens House in Antwerp, designed to close the gap between classical paintings and technology, letting visitors interact with the art like never before.

One of the really neat features of the app is that in certain spots, a user can hold it up their device and it will show what used to be in that location throughout history — it's almost like being able to time travel.

Instead of putting on a pair of headphones and having information fed to you, visitors can participate in quizzes based on the paintings they are looking at. The interactive experience also puts forth challenges, like inviting users to search for a specific room and hunt for different paintings inside of it.
