The McLaren P1 GTR Pushes the Performance Envelope

The McLaren P1 GTR is a hypercar in the truest sense, an absolutely insane vehicle that shows off some of the finest engineering and design prowess on the planet. This car looks like it belongs in the future, but a fully-functional production-ready version of the car will be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show.

This hypercar is equipped with a 3.8-liter V8 petrol engine that pumps out 789 horsepower, while an electric companion offers an extra 197 horsepower. As you might expect for a vehicle this ridiculously fast and powerful, the P1 GTR isn't built for public roads.

This vehicle is a great example of past meets future. The technology is truly plucked out from the future, however there's something about the car's design aesthetic -- and certainly the paint job -- that is decidedly retro and nostalgic.
