Yanko Design is of the opinion that if this idea catches on, we might witness the possible demise of the coffee/tea spoon. But they are probably half joking. Anyway, the product, designed by Hye-Yeon Choi, integrates the instant coffee, cream, and sugar in a single tubular package and all the person needs to do is pour the contents of the tube in a cup, add hot water, stir and presto. The empty tube then serves as the spoon with which to stir the coffee. I would not say that tea spoons are gonna get phased out of the tableware we use on a daily basis. Spoons can last a life time and then some. Moreover, what do you do with the empty tube? Can it be reused? Recycled?
