'Gro.io' is a Fully Automated Hydroponic Garden System

'Gro.io' is the name of a smart hydroponic garden system that's designed to make it easy for novices to grow up to six plants in buckets at home.

The system is fully automated, features 10 remote sensors and is powered by a Linux OS on a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor. In addition to being able to use data to determine the best possible growing conditions for a plant, the smart Gro.io system also connects to the Internet in order to provide real-time text and email updates about the progress of a hydroponic garden.

Gro.io creator Doug Slemmer was inspired to develop the hydroponic garden system during a time when his wife was undergoing cancer treatments and used medical marijuana to alleviate the nausea she experienced.
