The Hydra Skyscraper Recieves Honorable Mention from eVolo Competition

Looking at the Hydra Skyscraper, it looks like a magical tower fit for a dark sorcerer of some kind. Although it only received an honorable mention from this year's eVolo 2011 Skyscraper Competition, I can't help but think that this was one impressive entry no matter what.

Designed by Milos Vlastic, Vuk Djordjevic, Ana Lazovic and Milica Stankovic, the Hydra Skyscraper features a futuristic design that harnesses power from lightning bolts thanks to its sinuous exoskeleton made out of graphene.

By channeling this electricity in tropical climates such as Singapore, Central Florida, Venezuela, and Kifuka, the Hydra Skyscraper would split water into hydrogen gas through electrolysis.

The Hydra Skyscraper would also house research facility, housing, and recreational areas for scientists and families.
