This Machine Can Precisely Ventilate & Dehumidify School Spaces

HVAC industry leader Modine Manufacturing has gone ahead and launched an intelligent new HVAC unit that is designed to meet the needs of classrooms both in terms of precise temperature management and when it comes to humidity control in the Gulf Coast region.

The 'Sentinel Hugh Humidity' is capable of dehumidifying external air at a rate of 500 cubic feet per minute. What's more, air is treated with dehumidification before it is combined with return air. The inclusion of a stand-alone external air pretreatment mechanism means a higher quality of ventilation, with classrooms able to benefit from accurately dehumidified air thanks to the HVAC unit's design and technology.

Kimberly Raduenz, manager of strategic marketing at Modine, noted that schools in extremely humid areas require more than conventional cooling coils, which is where her company's product has a vital role to play. "The Sentinel High Humidity solves that problem using a dual coil and dual fan arrangement that offers accurate temperature and humidity control and adequate ventilation," she said.
