Hutchison’s ‘Serenity Tire’ is for Hardcore Athlet

Hutchison’s ‘Serenity Tire’ is a product of the collaboration between the bicycle company and design specialist Steve Boehmke. The duo took note of how troublesome it can be for cyclists to ride over nails, rocks and sharp debris, especially during high performance events like the Tour de France.

The Serenity Tire prides itself on durability. In contrast to the majority of tires that are filled with air, this product is entirely solid. The mircocellular tubes can be punctured without worry as they can withstand up to 60 pounds of pressure. Its reflective material at the side of the tubes make the concept piece all the more safe, reflecting one’s surroundings throughout long rides.

Serenity Tire’s Kickstarter project examines this sturdy layout further.
