The compact cabin makes such an accomplishment by firstly sitting very lightly upon the earth. No fixed foundations were poured in the construction of this dwelling, and to make it portable for a possible later relocation, it has instead been braced upon a frame and stabilized by piles driven into the ground.
Despite its peculiar appearance, this pointed serpentine abode does borrow some traditional building techniques and materials from Scandinavian architectural practices. With its wood-shingled roof, Hus Ett by Torsten Ottesjo of Cargo Collective looks as though it could burrow right into the ground.
