This Robot Can Be Trained to Perform Various Domestic Chores

A team of researchers working out of Google-owned artificial intelligence company DeepMind and the venerated Stanford University have developed a high-tech housekeeping robot that is designed to be able to carry out an array of household tasks.

Dubbed 'Mobile ALOHA,' this housekeeping robot is designed using open-source formats, meaning that interested innovators can go about building their own version before training the robot to perform tasks. Weighing in at 75 kilograms, this housekeeping robot is equipped with a battery pack that allows for 12 hours of functionality, while cameras and robotic arms allow for a combination of visual acuity and the ability to perform tasks.

Although it is currently very much a research project, the 'Mobile ALOHA' robot offers a sneak peek into the future of robotics in the home.
