Punky Pastel Presentations

The House of Holland Spring 2012 Collection is Pretty in Punk

Henry Holland called the House of Holland Spring 2012 collection "Pastel Punks" and no other term could better describe the aesthetic feel of the presentation. Candy-colored denim with acid-washed stains shaped like clouds, buttoned-up color blocked shirts and suspenders created a truly unique feel that will surely not be seen at any other show this season.

Holland told Style.com that he was inspired by "Gavin Watson photographs of skinheads and punks in the late seventies and eighties." Ultimately, the House of Holland Spring 2012 collection was centered on one idea: playfulness.

Like many British designers, Holland regularly focuses on the idea of fun looks that are full of attitude. "If it stops being fun, there won't be much of a House left," explained the designer.
