Greenery-Infused Urban Abodes

The House K in Tokyo Makes the Most of a Busy Area

House K in Tokyo by K2YT makes the most of an urban space, which for the most part can be quite noisy and hectic. In order to give some serenity to the area, the designers ensured there were certain spaces where greenery and garden elements could be placed.

The house consists of four floors, and is actually quite spacious giving the small space that the abode was built on. However, two families live within the abode, making it still quite busy. "Courtyard" sections have been placed inside the house too on different levels, so that residences can come outside while not having to stand on the busy street.

Considering the limited space K2YT had to work with, they did a great job with infusing natural elements into the design and giving the owners a sense of privacy. Photo Credits: designboom, k2yt.net
