Tranquilly Minimalist Homes

'House for Installation' is Designed to Evoke Peace and Tranquility

'House for Installation' is a renovated house in the city of Osaka in Japan which uses thoughtfully minimalist designs to create an environment of peace, tranquility and positivity. The shapes, lines and lighting composition of the house promote an open and tranquil environment.

The house uses an extremely minimalist yet elegant combination of pure white walls and ceilings and wooden floors and furnishings.

The house's biggest room is reminiscent of traditional Japanese architecture. It fuses living and dining areas; a rectangular space is sunk into the wall so as to look like an altar. Sliding translucent doors offer access to the garden and also soften daylight entering the space.

Aside from the regular living spaces, House for Installation also contains work studios, an office and exhibition areas.
