Stratified Structures

The Hotel Lone is Inspired by a White Ocean Liner

The Hotel Lone looks like a stratified piece of land that has been made habitable for the people residing in the town of Rovinj, Croatia -- or, more specifically, for those visiting this picturesque town. Although it does have that nature-inspired element, there is also a futuristic feel to this structure that is quite reminiscent of a Stormtroopers costume.

Designed by Silvije Novak of 3LHD Architects, the Hotel Lone is a 248-room property that was made to look sleek white ocean liner floating on the hillside rather than a specific landscape or a sci-fi character. It’s unique "Y" shape provides each guest with a spectacular view of the sea or park. Its crowning feature is the dramatic hotel lobby, which opens up towards the sky.
