Gruesome Slasher Editorials

The Horror Movie Editorial for Vogue Italia was Shot by Steven Meisel

Fashion photographer Steven Meisel is behind the aptly named 'Horror Movie' editorial for Vogue Italia. This slasher flick-inspired series features fashionably dressed victims on the run from an eerie man wielding very big knives. The outfits in this frightful fashion spread can be described as youthful, feminine and elegant.

These shots look like scenes ripped right out of 60's or 70's horror flicks. In some of these shots frightened (but chic) young girls hide from a murderous man sporting slacks and a button up shirt. In other photos they subdue this well-dressed maniac. Many of these shots feature smeared blood and sharp objects, which adds to the overall spooky nature of these grueseome pictures.

Bernd Sassmannhausen, Issa Lish and Natalie Westling bring these scary fashion shots to life in Vogue Italia's April issue.
