Lightly Sweetened Organic Teas

'Honest Tea' Brews Environmentally Friendly and Healthy Beverages

Seth Goldman and Barry Nalebuff started an organic brewing company called Honest Tea back in 1998. Ever since then they have grown to be one of the top-selling bottled tea companies. In March of 2011 it was acquired by the Coca-Cola company; however, it operates as an independent operating unit.

The company produces "real tea" as opposed to a lot of the low-quality and high sugar content drinks that are available on the market nowadays. There is no concentration, processing or pulverization of the tea leaves, they are simply brewed and lightly sweetened with organic cane sugar. The drinks come in delicious flavors such as Peach White Tea, Black Forest Berry and Honey Green Tea.

What makes Honest Tea super awesome is their social consciousness and care for the environment. Back in 2010 the company was listed as one of the top seven green corporations by PlanetGreen.com. The company is also Fair Trade Certified, which means that they provide garden workers with fair pay and comply with specific workplace criteria.
