The Honda Super 90 Concept Pays Tribute to the Iconic Super 90

Designer Igor Chak is celebrating the 50th birthday of one of the 1960s’ most iconic motorcycles with his Honda Super 90 concept. In 1964 Honda released the Sport 90, a bare-bones motorcycle with an engine producing 8 horsepower and a top speed of 64 mph. The Super 90 is the spiritual successor to the Sport 90, paying tribute in part with its lightweight design and chrome components.

The Honda Super 90 may be inspired by a bike that’s 50-years-old, but there’s nothing old-fashioned about Chak’s design. For starters, it's powered by two in-hub electric motors and features electromagnetic braking hubs. Information about the bike is shown on an OLED touchscreen located on the body of the bike near the handlebars.
