Globes as Bars

Geography Served Up with a Twist

This sixteenth-century Italian replica globe bar is designed with the nautical maps that were used back in the 16th century. The globe bar holds a compartment in its center for bottles and glasses.

The piece is wonderfully crafted with the hinged meridian that turns over in order to give you access to the booze. As the meridian flips, the inner part is filled with hand-painted frescoes on its domed ceiling. The entire material is supported on hardwood legs with a second shelf to provide additional storage and rolling casters.
