Our favorite female superheroes have always had a badass quality to their images, but with these hipster superhero cartoons, our idols look a little more like the rest of us.
Artist Elizabeth Beals has taken on the tall order of making the usual heroines look normal, and hipster. Beals includes depictions of some of the most popular females heros including: Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Catwoman. These illustrations not only showcase Beals' technical skill, but also are a humorous way to normalize superheroes. These femme fatales are dressed in typical hipster fare with high-waisted shorts, over-sized sweaters and hair accessories. Beals has been able to create amazing illustrations all the while sticking to the hipster superheroes theme.
