The Latest Designs for NYC's High Line Park are Sleek and Green

James Corner Field Operations in partnership with Diller Scofidio and Renfro have unveiled their latest designs for New York City's one of a kind, elevated park, the High Line.

The High Line is a park built on the former West Side Line elevated railway in New York City. Presently, the park runs one mile along the lower west side of Manhattan. The designs from James Corner Field Operations and Diller Scofidio and Renfro are intended for a segment of the former areal railway between west 30th and west 34th streets. Needless to say, the High Line has a stunning view of the city.

The design depicts a sliver of green serenity cutting through the hustle and bustle of an ever-busy Manhattan. The High Line will also be home to some sleek 'Peel Up' design: urban furniture which peels up from the park, providing citizens and visitors with a comfortable reprieve from New York City's more hectic aspects.Photo Credits: designboom, fieldoperations.net
