Astonishingly Affordable Robots

The ArcBotic ‘Hexy’ is for Multitasking Gadget Lovers

Like the new Acura ILX, modern robotics are innovative and forward thinking. Check out these modern robotic feats that elevate lifestyle. Step up and step into a new Acura ILX.

Few things are cooler than robots, except for low-cost robots that can send emails, find the TV remote and answer a phone call every now and then. Now it might not be sophisticated enough to complete the aforementioned tasks just yet, but the ArcBotic ‘Hexy’ robot prototype is well on its way.

The ArcBotic ‘Hexy’ robot is the brainchild of inventor Joseph Schlesinger, a lifelong lover of robots. After toiling with expensive parts and technologies, Schlesinger resorted to using low-cost, open hardware and software. The result: Hexy. In the video demo, Hexy is seen to be rather maneuverable and talented - even tapping away at a keyboard briefly. Even though Hexy’s actions are rudimentary, the idea of low-cost, multitasking robots is quite the contrary. As Schlesinger puts it, "The idea behind ArcBotics is to become the Ikea of robotics."

The Ikea of robotics, eh? The future cannot come fast enough.
