The Hello Kitty Knife Set by Raffeale Iannello is Brutally Cute

The Hello Kitty Knife Set by Raffeale Iannello is a whimsical hybrid between a voodoo doll and a decoratively cute knife block. This creative culinary block designed by Iannello recreates Hello Kitty in a sarcastic and desecrating style format that shows the beloved pop culture character in a precarious and lethal position. His knife block design shows Hello Kitty’s lifeless body slumping downward after being stabbed with five razor-sharp kitchen knives that have perforated her little body.

This cruel and murderous Hello Kitty Knife Set was recently exhibited at Milan’s 2012 Design Week and is rumored to be in production -- it may also have the effect of producing nightmares for the young ones. Ianello used inox steel for the knife blades and ABS plastic for the base for a sleek and sophisticated finish. The Knife Set is available in a silver version with a red bow or with the more traditional Hello Kitty colors of white and pink.
