The Heineken Greener Bar Saves Energy and Water and Reduces Waste

The Heineken Greener Bar is a new sustainable bar concept that aims to save "6,539 kgs of event waste, 5,335-kilowatt hours of energy, 21,128 kgs of CO2e emissions and 25,108 litres of water," on average, per event. With this concept, the brand hopes to set the standard for all motorsport races and other events it sponsors.

As a Sustainability Partner of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Heineken is on a mission to make event bars more environmentally friendly. This concept embraces new building methods, materials and technologies that help to conserve resources and reduce waste. Created to support a completely circular bar experience, the bar has thoughtfully selected uniforms, reusable and recyclable cups and even coasters made from spent grains of barley used during the brewing process.
