The famous Oscar selfie has been produced using nothing but colored pencils by Heather Rooney. It is pretty incredible how perfectly drawn the Oscar selfie is. It almost looks like a printed pictures from a digital camera. I was shocked at how amazing and talented Rooney is.
The 20 year old artist creates these pencil drawings in a time lapse video to show exactly how she created the look. Heather uses Prismacolor colored pencils to create the photorealistic drawings.
I am not very artistic, and watching how detail oriented Heather is makes me wish my abilities were a little bit better. You can request photos to be illustrated by Heather Rooney by email. If I wanted myself illustrated by anyone, it would have to be her.
