Animated Extraction Shooters

Upwake.Me Announced Hawked with a Vibrant Art Style and Fast Gameplay

Upwake.Me, a game development studio with offices in Amsterdam, Limassol, and Dubai, announced 'Hawked,' a new fun-filled extraction shooter. The game features player-versus-player-versus-everything gameplay in which players descend into a large open arena with minimal equipment. Then, throughout the round, players loot the environment, conquer local wildlife and non-player characters, and take down each other to gather as much loot as possible.

However, as an extraction shooter, this loot is not necessarily permanent. The players must then reach one of the extraction points and call in an evacuation to secure the loot. The evacuation draws in the attention of other players, leading to high-stakes action and high-adrenalin gameplay.

Throughout the game, players can collect 'Artifacts' around the map to augment their abilities, granting powers to their character that assist in the arena. The trailer showcases abilities such as grapple guns and telekinesis, though it is not clear if these are character abilities or if they are acquired through artifacts.

The game enters its closed alpha testing phase on November 24nd and runs through to November 28th.
