Free from the confines of smart phones and social media, Åberg is able to immerse herself in nature. Of course, being a pioneer isn't all about frolicking through meadows and picking flowers; no, it also entails some serious work. Whether it's tending the grounds, churning butter or feeding the chickens, life was definitely harder back in the day. Despite the physical labor, Åberg looks good. Fashion editor Celestine Cooney dressed her in full skirts, tailored trousers and collared shirts. Makeup artist Lynsey Alexander and hair stylist Mari Ohashi stayed true to the pioneer aesthetic and kept things simple.
