The Harper's Bazaar Russian July 2014 issue, which features model Missy Rayder as its cover girl, mixes eclectic fashions with a western dessert aesthetic. In turn, Rayder looks like a modern-day nomad, posing on deserted gravel roads and on large stretches of sand.
Alexander Neumann of See Management photographed the series, aptly titled 'Modern Nomad.' He pictured the model looking ready for adventure, yet serene. Though she is in a setting of solitude, she seems to have no problem with it.
Rayder basks in the sun in fashions styled by fashion editor Almundena Guerra. In some photographs, she is wearing layers upon layers of clothing, which include a checker-print shawl or a menswear-inspired blazer and in others, she dons bathing suits and wide-brimmed hats. Every shot has a completely different fashion ensemble, but somehow all of their panache makes Missy look like an urban wanderer.
