The Harley-Davidson Street 50 is a Learner Bike

The Harley-Davidson Street 500 is an electric 500cc learner bike that may appear to be an antithesis of everything Harley-Davidson is known for, but seems to be paving the way forward to a brave new direction for the famed brand.

This motorbike is powered by a 492 cc liquid cooled Revolution X v-twin engine that produces 29.5 pounds-feet of torque at 3500 revs per minute. Harley-Davidson hasn't revealed the horsepower of the bike, insisting that the bike is more about the sound, feel and soul rather than numbers.

The Harley-Davidson Street 500's fuel economy is 64 miles per gallon, meaning the little 3.5 gallon tank is good for an incredible range of 224 miles.

The bike is built to be customized and will cost $6,700 before custom add-ons.
