Hanksy Stencil Art is Getting Attention in New York

Someone in New York has sent street art website Wooster Collective an interesting graffiti piece that was found in the Soho area. Everyone, meet Hanksy.

For those confused with the name, Hanksy is a combination of Tom Hanks and Banksy. Whoever did this has taken Banksy's infamous black and white rat stencil and replaced the head with Tom Hanks's smiling face. The result is an extremely hilarious pop culture parody that's definitely a memorable one. It's actually quite similar to the 'Tom Hanks Is A Lot of Animals' Tumblr blog in which the actor's head gets placed on various animals.

Whether or not the Hanksy will go viral around the streets remains to be seen. I wonder if this is getting Banksy's attention.
