W DESIGN Creates the HANAKUBARI Vase with Japanese Influence

W DESIGN presents the new HANAKUBARI vase for Takeda Design Project. It is influenced by the Japanese Ikebana style, where arranging flowers takes on a unique angle that differs from what traditional arrangements appear to be. Ikebana may highlight a bud that will slowly bloom with time.

Similar to many Japanese practices and beliefs, every aspect of the floral is derived from a thoughtful decision. This includes how the cuts are made, the length of the stem, or the number of pieces that are used. The HANAKUBARI is named after 'flower' and 'twig,' which is a small barrel that barely resembles a traditional vase. It is just enough to hold water and has a short cylindrical build.
